Procedural Sedation

Written consent was obtained for procedural sedation.  Sedation packet completed according to hospital policy. The patient was continuously monitored with end-tidal CO2 and vitals.  Crash cart was nearby and airway interventions were immediately available as necessary.  Moderate sedation was obtained using [medication]  Frequent vital sign checks were obtained.  The patient recovered from sedation without any difficulty.  I maintained constant attendance in the room until it was determined that the patient was stable under nursing supervision and the risk of airway compromise was minimal to none.
